Yes, the Bachelor of Primary Education is accredited and recognised as a national professional teaching qualification, allowing graduates to work as Kindergarten to Year 6 teachers in public and independent school systems. All students will receive a national English/Literacy specialisation on successful completion of the program, and a NSW specialisation in Mathematics/Numeracy is also available to students with relevant interest and aptitude.
This course contains approximately 110 days of compulsory work-based placements, completed over 22 weeks (totaling 770 hours) throughout the degree. Placements usually occur in Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands, and Southern and South Western Sydney schools. Students can also apply for 'out-of-area' (rural NSW) or overseas professional experiences, and each student must complete placements in at least two different schools.
Yes, students can complete an integrated master's degree by progressing directly from the Bachelor of Primary Education into the Master of Autism. This study option combines an undergraduate and postgraduate degree, helping graduates meet the growing demand for educators who can lead the development and implementation of strategies that support neurodivergent children. The UAC Course code for this degree combination is 751290.
The minimum score for guaranteed entry is a Selection Rank of 75 (your ATAR or IB Combined Rank plus any eligible adjustments), with a minimum IBAS of 28.00. UOW assumes students will have studied any two units of English, and recommends any two units of Mathematics. Students can also apply through Early Admission, via UAC (UAC Code: 755112), or through pathways such as UOW College or the TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate.
The Bachelor of Primary Education is available at the Wollongong and Liverpool campuses. It is delivered as an on campus degree, and students are encouraged to review the requirements, intakes, and deadlines for their chosen campus before applying.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
