The degree is registered with CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, helping to boost your connections, employment outcomes, and future opportunities.
The Bachelor of Professional Accounting comprises twenty-four (24) units of core units and electives over 100, 200 and 300 levels. The course begins with six core units and two specialisation units at 100 level, followed by two core units and six specialisation units at 200 level, and concludes with two core units, three specialisation units, two electives, and one capstone unit at 300 level. There are no accredited exit points — students are only eligible to receive the Bachelor once all 24 required units are successfully completed.
The Bachelor of Professional Accounting has four intake options per year: January, April, July, and October.
Yes, international students can study the Bachelor of Professional Accounting. They must apply through a qualified Education Agent, enrol as full-time students, and be 18 years of age or over at the time of commencement. They must also meet English language proficiency requirements, including an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 with a minimum sub score of 5.5 in writing, reading, speaking, and listening, or equivalent.
Yes, any student with prior learning may submit appropriate evidence and apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). ASA may award credit towards the qualification for various forms of prior learning by comparing a student's current level of skills and knowledge against unit learning outcomes. ASA may, at its discretion, recognise the validity of other forms of training or education, providing they are deemed equivalent to, or meet, the AQF standards.
