Common Questions
Yes. Deakin's Bachelor of Property and Real Estate is accredited by the Australian Property Institute (API) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), meaning you graduate with a qualification that meets the needs of an evolving industry.
To complete the Bachelor of Property and Real Estate, you must pass 24 credit points. This includes DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin (0-credit-point compulsory unit) in your first study period, 15 credit points of core units, 1 credit point of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course elective units, and 8 credit points of open elective units (which may include 1 minor in Wealth Management, Finance, Sustainability and Development, or Economics). There is a maximum of 10 credit points at level 1 and a minimum of 6 credit points at level 3.
Yes. Deakin offers double degrees that allow you to combine a property and real estate degree with construction management, architecture, commerce, or laws. This saves time, reduces costs and unlocks more career opportunities.
This course provides students the opportunity to complete one or more work integrated learning units. Students can select from Consultancy Experience (MWL316), Internship (MWL318), or International Consultancy Experience (MWL319). Students' WIL experience should relate to their field of study and career aspirations in property and real estate. Units which contain work integrated learning may require a police check, working with children check or other check.
The course is available across three intakes per year: Trimester 1 starting in March, Trimester 2 starting in July, and Trimester 3 starting in November. All three intakes are available at both the Burwood (Melbourne) campus and Online.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
