Common Questions
Domestic students can apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) or directly to UTS. International students follow a separate application process and can explore international pathways and articulation programs. If your application is successful, you will receive an offer via email or through UAC.
UTS offers several alternative pathways including the STAT (Skills for Tertiary Admission Test), TAFE or VET qualifications such as an AQF diploma or advanced diploma, the UniReady Enabling Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and entry via UTS College. Students may also consider starting in a different course and transferring after 6–12 months of study.
Domestic students may be able to defer their offer depending on the course's requirements. You can find more details on deferring your course commencement on the UTS website. Note that scholarship offers cannot be deferred — students wishing to defer would need to re-apply for a scholarship in a future round.
Yes, UTS offers one of Australia's most generous scholarship programs. Scholarships are managed by UTS Scholarships and payments are made via Electronic Funds Transfer to a nominated Australian bank account. Recipients must meet ongoing eligibility criteria including academic progress and enrolment requirements as outlined in the Conditions of Award.
UTS is ranked #7 in Australia and #96 globally (QS World University Rankings 2026), and is recognised for excellence in teaching, research impact, industry engagement and international outlook. According to the 2024 Graduate Outcomes Survey – Longitudinal, 93.3% of UTS graduates are employed three years post-graduation, reflecting strong career readiness and employer demand.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
