This degree is a foundation for psychology and behavioural studies. It gives you a thorough scientific understanding of psychology, and the specialist theoretical and research skills you will need to move into further studies. It displaces assumptions, misconceptions or popular opinions and installs evidence-based knowledge. The program also introduces you to social science study areas of sociology, geography, and Indigenous studies to complement your learning about human behaviour.
Students wishing to undertake further postgraduate study to become an accredited psychologist will need to apply for the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) upon completing this program. Please note entry into the Honours program is competitive.
The Bachelor of Psychological and Social Sciences is offered at three campuses: Bankstown City (UAC 727597), Parramatta South (UAC 727598), and Penrith (UAC 727599).
The available intake dates for the Bachelor of Psychological and Social Sciences are Spring 2026 (starting 20 July 2026), Autumn 2027 (starting 01 March 2027), and Spring 2027 (starting 19 July 2027).
Domestic students may be eligible for Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP), with an indicative annual fee from $11,885. International students pay approximately AUD $37,052 per year. The program code is 1910 and the CRICOS code is 107229A.
