Common Questions
Yes, the Bachelor of Psychological Science is conditionally accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) for entrance into postgraduate training.
Eligible graduates may apply for a fourth year of study in the APAC accredited Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours. Completion of that fourth year of study is the minimal educational qualification to apply for provisional registration as a psychologist in Australia, conditional on undertaking an approved practice pathway.
To be eligible to receive the Bachelor of Psychological Science, students must complete the equivalent of 24 units (288 credit points), comprising 16 core units (192 credit points) and either the Psychology Extension Major, 1 shared major, or 8 elective units (96 credit points).
International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English must meet a minimum IELTS Overall Score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing components.
The Southern Cross Model engages students in shorter, six-week unit structures designed around immersive and interactive learning experiences. The shorter unit structure gives students a greater sense of momentum as they achieve milestones quickly, resulting in increased student success rates, and course and teacher satisfaction. Lectures are a thing of the past — students will be engaged in active, interactive and discussion-based learning.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
