You can complement your psychology degree with a major in marketing, human resource management, criminology, linguistics, philosophy, vision science, or neuroscience. Combining psychology with marketing or human resource management provides an excellent background for business careers, while philosophy, criminology, or linguistics prepare you for a variety of social science careers.
For domestic students, the 2026 Lowest Selection Rank (ATAR plus adjustment factors) is 83.0, and the lowest ATAR before adjustment factors is 73.15. Your project can be undertaken in most areas of psychology including psychopathology, behavioural neuroscience, cognitive science, cognition and perception, forensic psychology, and social, personality and developmental psychology. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
