Yes, Honours in Psychology is a fourth year of study accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), which is required for graduates seeking to apply for provisional registration as a practising psychologist.
Applicants must have completed (in the last 10 years), or be currently enrolled in the final year of, a three-year APAC-accredited sequence in Psychology (or other Level 1 equivalent), with at least a credit average in 200 and 300 level Psychology subjects.
For the Autumn 2026 session, which starts on 2 March 2026, both international and domestic (direct) applicants must submit complete applications by 31 October 2025. Complete applications received by this date will receive an outcome prior to the start of session.
Throughout this degree, you will undertake a research project to produce advanced written work that demonstrates your ability to analyse and synthesise information, solve complex problems, and orally present this information in various formats. You will show an advanced ability to apply research methods to address psychological questions related to behaviour and mental processes.
Yes, Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are available for eligible domestic students. Australian government funding will contribute towards your tuition fees, and the remaining proportion, known as a student contribution, will depend on when you begin study (enrolment year) and study area.
