About This Course

Study human behaviour and help shape solutions to social challenges The combined Bachelor of Psychological Science/Bachelor of Social Science will empower you to think differently, to analyse human nature, behaviours, social relationships and structures. You will use this understanding to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Use science to understand people. Be inspired to build new knowledge and discover new things using a variety of scientific methods. Cover a broad range of areas such as mental illness, interventions, the biology of the brain, memory, and decision making. You will also explore the exciting complexities of the human social experience and learn to apply research methodologies of social science to the societies in which we exist. For additional information about this degree you can refer to the pages for the corresponding single degrees: Bachelor of Psychological Science, and Bachelor of Social Science You will gain practical social science skills in analysis and communication, policy, and research. You will complete a minimum 140-hour placement within the later stages of your studies. There will be a variety of opportunities available to acquire a placement in your desired career field. This includes local, state and commonwealth public service, non-government organisations, higher education, cultural and environmental organisations, and community and family services. The Bachelor of Psychological Science/Bachelor of Social Science (Callaghan, Gosford) is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as a LEVEL 1 APAC accredited degree. Ourimbah was previously accredited up to 22 January 2026 when it was replaced by the new Gosford location.
