Yes, the Bachelor of Psychological Sciences/Bachelor of Criminal Justice and Criminology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council, which puts graduates a step closer to becoming a professional psychologist.
The course includes an industry-linked research project in Psychology Project (PSY30003) and a problems-based project briefed by an industry partner in Crime, Society and Culture (LAW30025). Students also have the option to undertake a six- or 12-month professional placement in either Law or Psychological Sciences.
Successful completion of the Bachelor of Psychological Sciences/Bachelor of Criminal Justice and Criminology requires students to complete units of study to the value of 400 credit points. All units of study are valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated, and the course includes 28 core units.
For domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), the yearly fee is approximately $13,467 AUD, with an estimated total course fee of $53,868 AUD. Fees are estimates only and subject to change. Eligible students may use HECS-HELP to cover all or part of their contribution amount.
The course is offered at the Hawthorn campus with intakes in Semester 2 (03 August 2026) and Semester 1 (01 March 2027). The course is available full-time or equivalent part-time over four years. International students holding student visas are required to study full-time and on campus.
