Graduates can register with the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE), with Deakin being the only Victorian university to hold this accreditation.
The course includes at least 200 work-integrated learning (WIL) hours in total, of which 120 hours are placement and practical workplace experience in a health-related agency, primarily completed in your final year through the Health Practicum unit.
Applicants are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for the relevant state and a valid National Police Record Check prior to undertaking placements. Further information and guidance will be provided to students when they enrol into their placement unit.
