No, the Bachelor of Science Advanced (Honours) is only available to international students. It is offered in partnership with a select list of Indian universities and requires two years of prior study at one of those partner institutions in India.
The degree integrates the four major disciplines of science (mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology) into a common unified curriculum for the first two years, which are taken at a partner institution in India. The final two years are completed at the University of Melbourne and include a diverse choice of majors from science, technology, engineering and health sciences, as well as an advanced specialised year of study that includes a minor research thesis.
Applicants are required to achieve an IELTS score of 6.5 with no individual band less than 6.0 to meet the English language requirements for the Bachelor of Science Advanced (Honours).
The degree will provide flexible pathways to employment, research higher degrees and many professional postgraduate programs, equipping students with a range of knowledge and skills to enhance and extend their science studies.
The course has a July intake and the final two years are delivered on campus at Parkville, Melbourne. The first two years must be completed at a recognised partner institution in India before students can progress to the Melbourne campus.
