Advanced Mathematics Core Course
Core course required as part of the Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) (Honours) component.

You must complete 240 Units of Credit (UOC) in total, including 144 UOC for the Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) (Honours) and 96 UOC for the Bachelor of Arts. Students undertaking a double degree do not take general education or free elective courses.
In your science degree, you can specialise in one of three areas: Applied Mathematics (development and implementation of methods to understand and predict real-world problems), Pure Mathematics (discovering patterns and structures that underlie wide areas of mathematics), or Advanced Statistics (methodology for drawing conclusions from data, estimating the present, predicting the future and making decisions in the face of uncertainty).
You can complete a major in a wide range of arts study areas including Asian Studies, Criminology, Creative Writing, English, Environmental Humanities, European Studies, Film Studies, Geographical Studies, Global Development, History, Indigenous Studies, Languages (Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish), Linguistics, and Media, Culture and Technology, among others. You must complete two arts majors, or an arts major, an arts minor and prescribed arts elective courses.
The honours year is an integral part of the degree. It involves a supervised research project and advanced coursework. You'll conduct original scientific investigations and analysis while developing your critical and integrative thinking.
