Bachelor of Science (Advanced)/Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)

The program takes 6 years of full-time study to complete. It contains a total of 288 units of credit (UOC), with most courses being 6 UOC each.

The Advanced Science (Honours) component offers 24 majors including Advanced Physics, Biology & Biodiversity, Chemistry, Genetics, Mathematics, Neuroscience, Psychology, Statistics, and more. The Engineering (Honours) component offers 20 specialisations including Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Quantum Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering, and Solar Energy Engineering, among others.

You will gain hands-on experience through Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and Research Integrated Learning (RIL). This includes tackling real research from your first year, completing two core research courses, and undertaking 60 days of Industrial Training in engineering. The degree also includes an embedded honours year.

The 2026 Lowest Selection Rank (ATAR plus adjustment factors) is 95.0, and the 2026 Lowest ATAR before adjustment factors is 86.35. For international students, the direct entry requirement is an International ATAR of 90.0, an IB Diploma score of 35.0, or equivalent qualifications. Assumed knowledge for the Advanced Science component includes Mathematics Advanced or Mathematics Extension 1, plus one or more of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, or Physics.

For domestic students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $8,000 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $56,500. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $62,000 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $419,000.
