You will study core units to gain essential knowledge in fundamental sciences, then complete a stream, program or major from the Science disciplinary pool, along with a minor or second major from either the disciplinary pool or the shared pool. You will also complete units from the Open Learning Environment and any elective units as needed to make up the required credit points.

In the final year of your degree, you will undertake advanced coursework where you will enhance your leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and increase your employment prospects. You will undertake challenging coursework and a substantial real-world project individually or in collaboration with other students.

Yes. If you would like to study honours and meet the relevant admissions requirements, you will be able to apply for an appended honours degree after completing three years of undergraduate study.

The closing date for Semester 1 is 31 January of the commencing year, and for Semester 2 it is 15 July of the commencing year. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.

Yes, the course is available to both domestic students (Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian Permanent resident visa holders, Australian Permanent humanitarian visa holders, and Pacific Engagement Visa holders) and international students.
