About This Course

In this double degree, you will gain a strong combination of skillsets for resources extraction and environmental protection, which is increasingly important to the resources sector and to society. You'll study fundamental geological and biological processes and apply them to mineral exploration and resource extraction and groundwater resources. You'll also learn how to manage ecosystems and rehabilitate landscapes impacted by salt degradation and resource extraction activity.

General Requirements

Prerequisite subject (Essential): Mathematics Applications ATAR
Desirable subjects: None
English language requirement: Must meet Curtin's English language requirements (see IELTS table on course page)
VET/TAFE pathway: AQF Certificate IV (with separate evidence of English language proficiency), or AQF Diploma, or AQF Advanced Diploma, plus met subject prerequisites
STAT pathway: Elements considered are Written English, Multiple Choice Verbal and Quantitative
Curtin course switcher: Must have met admission criteria for minimum entry and completed Mathematics Applications ATAR (or equivalent); prerequisite can be met with MATH1013, MATH1014, or MATH1015
Higher education course switcher: Must meet minimum entry criteria and have completed Mathematics Applications ATAR (or equivalent)
Indigenous applicants: Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander aged 17 or older may be eligible for an Indigenous enabling course
