You can customise your double degree by combining one Bachelor of Science major (Chemistry, Data Science, Environmental Biology, Marine Science, Mathematics, or Physics) with one Bachelor of Commerce major (Economics or Finance). Note that a double degree with the Physics major is accredited by the Australian Institute of Physics, and Finance is also available as a double degree with Applied Geology.
The double degree takes 4 years to complete if studied full-time. Part-time study is also available, which would extend the duration accordingly.
The 2026 domestic indicative Commonwealth-supported first-year fee is approximately $13,500, based on a full-time study load of 200 credit points. Fees are indicative only and will vary depending on the units you choose. This does not include administrative, incidental fees, or textbook costs.
Curtin's advanced facilities include the Resources and Chemistry Precinct and the John de Laeter Centre characterisation laboratories. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
