In the Computer Science component, you can study a general Computer Science degree or specialise in one of: Database Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Programming Languages, Computer Networks, Embedded Systems, or Security Engineering. In the Fine Arts component, you can specialise in Animation & Moving Image, Art Theory, Music, or Visual Arts.
The Bachelor of Science (Computer Science)/Fine Arts double degree is 4 years full-time and consists of 32 courses totalling 192 Units of Credit (UOC). Each year you complete a mix of courses from each degree with the same number of units as a single degree full-time study load of eight courses across three terms.
Yes, the Bachelor of Computer Science component of this double degree is accredited with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) at the level of Professional.
For domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $8,000 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $37,500. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year fee is $57,000 and the indicative fee to complete the degree is $251,000.
Both programs connect students with industry and offer professional development experiences unique to individual passions and goals. The ChallENG Program connects students, academics and industry to real-world, project-based learning initiatives to develop technical and design skills. UNSW computer science graduates have gone on to work with companies such as CSIRO, Cisco, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Canva and Atlassian. Fine Arts students also have opportunities to experiment with professional roles through internships and work placements.
