Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science)

In the Master of Data Science component, you can choose from four majors: computational data science, statistical data science, biomedical data science, and information systems analytics.

As part of the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program, you'll have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, engage with industry professionals, and complete professional work placements. QUT Business School currently has more than 1,200 active partners across all sectors. You can also undertake a paid research project for approximately 6-10 weeks under the Vacation Research Experience Scheme (VRES), provided you meet the eligibility requirements.

If you achieve an ATAR or selection rank of 80.00 or higher (including any adjustments) and satisfy all other admission requirements, you are guaranteed an offer for this course in the Semester 1 offer rounds, up to the main offer round in mid-January. The minimum ATAR/selection rank threshold is 78.00, which is the lowest adjusted score to which QUT made an offer in Semester 1, 2026.

This is a vertical double degree that provides a comprehensive business and data science education. You will acquire a solid foundation in business during the undergraduate Bachelor of Business component, and then enhance your analytical skills in the postgraduate Master of Data Science component. The full-time duration is 4 years (or 8 years part-time), and you can customise your degree by choosing a business specialisation major from the Bachelor of Business alongside a major in the Master of Data Science.
