Students can specialise in one of the following majors: Football Performance, Health Promotion, Nutrition, Nutrition and Bioscience, Occupational Safety and Health, or Sport Business, helping broaden their career prospects.
Students are required to complete 2 mandatory practicum units: SPS3112 (140 hours) and SPS2524 Exercise Delivery (30 hours). Prior to placement, students must submit evidence of a Working with Children Check (where necessary) and a Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) First Aid Certificate. A pass grade for the practicum component is required to achieve a pass for the relevant core unit.
For domestic students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $11,550 (Commonwealth supported). For international students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $42,300.
Yes. ECU offers a unique 4-year dual degree in International Exercise & Sports Science, studied in Perth and in the UK, in partnership with the University of Portsmouth.
This course can be used as a pathway to further study in areas such as clinical exercise physiology, education, dietetics and strength and conditioning coaching.
