Yes, during your final year you will undertake 100 hours of professional placement with a health promotion organisation to develop and practise key industry competencies before you graduate.
In your first year, you'll study the foundations of public health – including human biology, epidemiology and biostatistics – and health in social and cultural contexts. You'll gain an advanced understanding of the social, environmental, political and economic factors that influence health, and learn about social justice and how to improve the health of marginalised people.
Yes, you can study Health Promotion as a double degree with either Health and Safety or Nutrition.
You must meet Curtin's English language requirements. For IELTS Academic, the minimum scores required are: Writing 6, Speaking 6, Reading 6, Listening 6, and an Overall band score of 6.5. If you've completed a different English test or qualification, you may be able to use it to meet this requirement.
