In your third year, you can choose from three pathways: the Health Data specialisation (covering big data analysis, data visualisation, cybersecurity, AI and machine learning in health), the Health Sciences specialisation (offering multidisciplinary units such as Global Public Health, Health Promotion, Occupational Health and Safety, and Sexology), or the Accelerated Bachelor Master pathway, which allows you to complete four units from a master degree in Health Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health, or Sexology — reducing the combined time to complete both degrees by six months.
To be eligible, you need a guaranteed ATAR or equivalent of 70, meet English language requirements (IELTS Academic overall 6.5 with no band below 6), and satisfy fieldwork requirements including a student declaration, criminal record screening and clearance, and communicable diseases requirements. There are no essential prerequisite subjects, but desirable subjects include Mathematics Applications ATAR and at least one ATAR science course such as Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology, Physics or Psychology.
Graduates are prepared for careers as community development officers, health data management officers, health data scientists, health project consultants, and health research officers, across industries including healthcare, government, and non-government organisations. Jobs for health professionals in Australia are expected to grow by more than 28% by 2035. Graduates can also apply for membership of the Public Health Association of Australia, the Health Services Research Association of Australia & New Zealand, and the Australasian Epidemiological Association.
Yes. This degree is a pathway to graduate-entry master courses in Midwifery, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work and Speech Pathology. You can also choose the Accelerated Bachelor Master pathway within the degree itself, which enables you to complete four units from a master degree in Health Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health, or Sexology, reducing the time to complete both degrees sequentially by six months. This pathway requires a course-weighted average of 60 or higher after completing 300 credit points.
The Bachelor of Science (Health Sciences) is available at Curtin Perth and Curtin Kalgoorlie, with intakes in both Semester 1 and Semester 2 for the 2026 academic year. It can be studied on campus or online, and is available on both a full-time and part-time basis, with a full-time duration of 3 years.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
