About This Course

Join one of humanity's greatest collective endeavours when you study a degree in science at UOW. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to explore creative solutions for our world's biggest issues. You will learn about the science that underpins and advances societies globally. The Bachelor of Science (Honours) is for high achieving students wishing to expand their knowledge in a topic of interest. Throughout this degree you will have the opportunity to undertake detailed research. This degree is designed to give you the skills to demonstrate excellence in research with a clear understanding of a research question in relation to current knowledge.

Requirements

Admission into the honours program is competitive.
Students must have completed a 3-year full time equivalent bachelor degree with a minimum distinction (75%) weighted average mark (WAM).
Applicants must have acceptance from a potential supervisor.
Applicants are required to complete a Project Proposal form prior to submitting their application and attach the completed form as a supporting document.
If English is not your first language, you must meet the University's English Language Requirements. Accepted international test results include IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge, and OET for specific health-related courses.
Alternatively, English language requirements can be fulfilled by completing an English course at UOW College.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people may apply through UOW's Woolyungah Indigenous Centre's Indigenous Admissions Program (IAP) as an alternative pathway.
Domestic applicants with overseas qualifications must provide academic records, with the course at least one-sixth complete; non-English documents must include an official English translation.
