Common Questions
The Elite Athletes and Performers Entry Scheme recognises the impact that elite sport and performance can have on students' academic results. Eligible applicants receive 5 adjustments to their selection rank, which are used to determine entry into UTS courses including the Bachelor of Science (Honours). Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, be elite athletes or performers, and have submitted a UAC application preferencing a UTS course.
No, UTS does not participate in the Elite Athlete and Performer Scheme assessed by UAC. Instead, UTS operates its own separate Elite Athletes and Performers Entry Scheme, and eligible students must submit a direct application to UTS via the UTS apply link in addition to their UAC application.
To apply, you will need your UAC application number and details about your schooling and performance commitments, a completed Training/Rehearsal Schedule and Personal Statement, a Supporting Statement from your sporting or performance coach or manager (or equivalent on official letterhead), a Supporting Statement from the responsible person at your education institution such as a principal or careers advisor, and any other applicable supporting documents. Elite performers must also submit a portfolio of work or a performance resume.
Applications for the 2027 intake open on 27 July 2026 and close on 30 November 2026.
No, you are unable to save your application and resume it later. UTS advises that you prepare all the required information, statements, and supporting documents in advance before beginning your application.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
