You can choose from 5 Engineering majors: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electronic Systems and Internet of Things (IoT) Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. For Science, there are 10 majors to choose from, including Aquaculture Science and Technology, Chemistry, Data Science, Marine Biology, and Physics, among others. Note that not all majors are available at all campuses.

Yes. Students participate in 12 weeks of industry-based practical placement as part of the Engineering component, and you may even be paid for your work experience. Additionally, students based in Townsville who have completed at least one year of their degree are eligible to apply for an Australian Public Service Academy Campus position, with opportunities in the Digital and Data spheres that may translate into a full-time job offer upon graduation.

The minimum ATAR required is 70. Recommended knowledge includes English (Units 3/4, C) and Mathematical Methods (Units 3/4, C). Applicants with an ATAR of 90 and above are guaranteed entry with all subject prerequisites waived, while applicants with an ATAR of 73 and above are guaranteed entry but must meet subject prerequisites. The Guaranteed Admissions Plan is open to all domestic and international applicants completing Year 12 in Australia.

The indicative annual cost is $8,490+ as an estimated Commonwealth Supported Fee for a full-time study load. Please note this estimate is variable and subject to fluctuation depending on choice of elective subjects. A Student Services and Amenities Fee is also required. Fee deferral options such as HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP are available if eligible, and scholarships may also be available.
