Yes, this course is accredited by the Australian HR Institute (AHRI), and graduates may be eligible for membership of AHRI. It is also accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council, and graduates can apply for associate membership of the Australian Psychological Society.
To become a registered psychologist after graduating from this degree, you must complete a further year of psychology study and two years of skills-based training. For full general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, you must complete a further two years of training by completing either an accredited one-year master program and a one-year internship as a provisionally registered psychologist followed by the National Psychology Exam, or an accredited two-year master program.
You must meet Curtin's English language requirements. For IELTS Academic, you need an overall band score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6 in each of Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening. If you have completed a different English test or qualification, you may be able to use it to meet this requirement.
Yes, this course requires you to undertake fieldwork placements to complete your qualification. In order to undertake fieldwork, you must meet requirements relating to communicable diseases and criminal record screening and clearance.
