Students need to complete 80 days of Professional Experience in schools over four sessions. Yes. At Avondale you are given the opportunity to complete one of your professional teaching experiences in a developing country. In the past this has taken teams of Avondale students to Cambodia, India, Nepal and The Kingdom of Tonga. A supervised overseas placement may be allowable for one placement other than the final placement.
Post-admission requirements include: a Working with Children Check, child protection awareness training, ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training, the National Literacy and Numeracy Test (LANTITE), and demonstrating fitness for teaching — which means maintaining satisfactory academic progression, demonstrating sound cognitive, mental, emotional and physical health, and being able to relate to students in an age-appropriate and professional manner.
At the completion of the course, students must be accredited with the state professional teaching body before practising in the classroom. In NSW, this is the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA).

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
