Macquarie University accepts several HSC English subjects for entry, including English Standard (minimum Band 5), English as an Additional Language or Dialect (minimum Band 5), English Advanced (minimum Band 4), English Extension 1 (minimum E2), and English Extension 2 (minimum E2).
Yes, in addition to meeting the English subject requirement, you also need to have achieved a minimum Band 4 in any other Category A HSC subject, or a minimum of E2 in any other Extension subject.
For HSC English Advanced, the minimum band required for academic entry into the Bachelor of Social Science at Macquarie University is Band 4.
Yes, any HSC Extension subject other than English Extension 1 or English Extension 2 can be used to satisfy the additional subject requirement, provided you achieve a minimum result of E2.
