Common Questions
Yes. RMIT's psychology courses are accredited by the Australian Psychological Society (APA). RMIT specialises in clinical psychology based on a cognitive-behavioural approach.
RMIT offers multiple intakes throughout the year. Semester 1 begins in late February or early March, Semester 2 begins in mid-July, and a Semester 3 intake (available to a select number of courses, primarily for international students) begins in September, October, or November depending on the course.
Domestic students currently in Year 12 should apply through VTAC. Non-Year 12 domestic students who have not registered through VTAC can apply directly to RMIT, especially for Semester 2 intake. International students apply via RMIT's Application Portal or through VTAC if they have completed an Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia or New Zealand.
International students must meet RMIT's minimum English language proficiency requirements. Accepted evidence includes English language proficiency tests (such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, or PTE Academic), studies from an accepted English language provider, or a recognised qualification. Specific score thresholds for this course are listed on the course's 'Entry requirements and admissions' page under the English language requirements tab.
Graduates may pursue careers as psychologists, social workers, family support workers, intelligence analysts, humanitarian aid workers, and more. The degree also provides a pathway into postgraduate psychology study for those wishing to achieve full registration as a psychologist.
Yes. RMIT awards more than 2,000 scholarships worth millions of dollars every year, supporting students facing financial, educational, and circumstantial disadvantages. Scholarships are available for both local and international students and can assist with textbooks, fees, accommodation, and living expenses. Details of available scholarships can be found on the RMIT scholarships page.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
