Field placements are applied in your third and fourth years, where you learn from leading social workers and build effective relationships with diverse cultures, including rural, remote and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The minimum adjusted ATAR required for entry is 62, and applicants must have completed English (Units 3/4, C) as a prerequisite subject. Yes, JCU offers credit for a range of Diploma qualifications. For example, holders of the Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management, Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs, Diploma of Community Services, Diploma of Counselling, Diploma of Mental Health, Diploma of Youth Work, and others may receive up to 8 subjects (or one year full-time equivalent study) of credit.
