Common Questions
The Bootcamp2Studio model involves up to six weeks of intensive, focused learning across a programming bootcamp, followed by nine weeks learning in a studio model where you explore projects more deeply, working both in groups and independently to solve real-world challenges. This hybrid teaching approach builds transferable skills in problem solving and teamwork, helps you adapt to new projects and technologies quickly, and exposes you to professional practice and standards that prepare you for your future workplace.
In the third year, you will undertake a year-long internship that allows you to experience a real-world working environment, enabling you to develop and refine the professional skills needed to be an effective software engineer. The placement provides an opportunity to build on and apply your learning within a professional context before returning for the final year of study. You will receive assistance with finding a placement and may be eligible for financial support.
There are nine software engineering minors available, providing flexibility to plan your study to achieve your goals. The minor options include: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Blockchain Technologies, Cloud Computing, Creative Computing, Cyber Assurance, Data Science, Enterprise Systems Development, Bioinformatics, and Data Analysis. In your fourth year you can also choose individual subjects and electives that interest you most.
Yes, the Bachelor of Software Engineering is accredited at a professional level by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), which accredits Information and Communication Technology related programs offered by Australian universities, both onshore and offshore.
The degree is offered as a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), meaning tuition fees are subsidised by the Australian Government. In 2026, the annual student contribution amount for a standard full-time year is between AU$4,738 and AU$17,399 depending on the subject band. A Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) of up to AU$373 per year also applies. Eligible students may defer payment through HECS-HELP and SA-HELP loan schemes, repayable once income exceeds the minimum threshold set by the Australian Government.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
