Yes. Graduates will meet the standards of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), the national accrediting body, which will enable them to practise in Australia and many other countries around the world including the UK and Asia.
From second year you will commence placement experiences which provide invaluable insight into a speech pathologist's work in the real world. In third year you will commence specific speech pathology placements providing hands-on experience with industry partners in the community, including a potential opportunity to complete a structured international placement. In fourth year, your time will increase in hands-on placement opportunities.
Yes. The Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) is a one-year full-time embedded program taking place in your final placement year. The Honours program provides more comprehensive research training to complement the professional skills and competencies achieved during professional practice placements, and provides a more accessible pathway to postgraduate research.
International students require an IELTS overall score of 7.0, with a minimum of 7.0 in each of Writing, Speaking, Listening, and Reading. Alternatively, a Pearson overall score of 65 is accepted. Entry requirements by country are also available.
