Applications are by invitation only. All applicants are required to be enrolled in the Bachelor of Speech Pathology and be invited to enrol in the Bachelor of Speech Pathology Honours based on their performance in the units across Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 of their undergraduate degree. Students are required to have achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 per cent or higher.

The Bachelor of Speech Pathology Honours is accredited by Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), and graduates are eligible to apply for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
Students are required to complete a substantial clinical practicum designed to provide the required range of clinical experience. The course includes four Clinical Practicum units spread across Years 3 and 4. Duty of care requirements must be met prior to commencing practicum placements, and due to the practical nature of the Speech Pathology profession and protection of the public, there are inherent requirements applicable to this course that may impact upon the success of some potential students.
The estimated first year indicative fee for Commonwealth supported students is AUD $12,500. This is provided as a guide only, based on a typical enrolment of students undertaking the first year of this course. At ECU, you pay for the individual units you enrol in, not an overall course fee, so the total cost of your course will vary depending on what units you choose.
