Yes, the Bachelor of Sport Science (Human Movement)/Bachelor of Psychological Studies is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), which conducts accreditation activities to ensure graduates receive a high-quality education and are equipped to use their psychological knowledge and skills in the community.
You'll complete a compulsory 70-hour placement in second year and/or a 140-hour placement in the final year of your degree. Placements are hosted by 350 different organisations in fields including sport and exercise science, sport management, sport coaching, recreation, and outdoor education.
For eligible students in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), the indicative fee for a full-time student in 2026 is AU$17,399 per year. This fee is a guide only, based on a typical full-time study load, and does not include materials such as textbooks or the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF).
This degree sets the foundation for graduate study, but to become a practising psychologist you'll need to progress to postgraduate study in psychology. After graduating, you may pursue the Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical Psychology) to work toward registration as a psychologist.
If you left secondary school more than two years ago and haven't studied since, you need either five years (minimum) work/life experience in Health or Human Sciences, Training & Development, Community Sports or similar, OR completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate more than two years ago, plus Units 3 and 4 with a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English (or equivalent).
