The Bachelor of Theology consists of 432 points and includes: at least 72 points in Biblical Studies (at least 18 points in each Testament), 36 points in Church History, 72 points in Systematic Theology, 36 points in Practical Theology, an 18-point Capstone unit, and 198 further points in any discipline. Additional rules require no more than 216 points at Level 1 and at least 108 points at Level 3 (including at least 36 points at Level 3 in either Biblical Studies or Systematic Theology).
The Bachelor of Theology requires completion of 432 points (24 standard undergraduate units). Fees for 2026 are $2,184 per standard unit or $17,472 for a year of full-time study (8 units). The total course cost is $52,416. Fees are subject to change from year to year.
Yes, credit of up to 288 points may be granted towards this award. For example, an Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma may receive up to 36 points of unspecified credit, an Australian Bachelor's Degree or equivalent may receive up to 72 points, a Diploma of Catholic Youth Ministry (10603NAT or 11013NAT) may receive up to 144 points, and a Diploma in Ageing and Pastoral or Spiritual Care (10642NAT) or Diploma in Ageing and Pastoral Care (91561NSW) may receive up to 72 points credited towards Mission and Ministry.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Theology: have a broad, coherent and critical knowledge of Christian theological traditions and methodologies, with focused knowledge in at least one area; can articulate the knowledge they have acquired to generate insights and communicate them through clear reasoned argument; are able to engage theological traditions and contemporary culture; and have a theologically informed basis for engagement and service in community and world. Graduates also have access to a range of postgraduate courses at Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters levels.
