You will be taught by dedicated researchers and practitioners from two of Australia's premier institutions – the University of Sydney and Taronga Conservation Society Australia.
Students will complete one of the following cognate majors: Animal Health, Disease and Welfare Biology; Environmental Studies; Genetics and Genomics; or Marine Science.
Yes, before applying it is important to read and fully understand the inherent requirements for the degree, which include, but are not limited to, physical fitness and ability to handle a range of large and small animals, required vaccinations (specifically Q fever), and effective written communication skills.
The closing date for Semester 1 is 31 January of the commencing year, and the closing date for Semester 2 is 15 July of the commencing year. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
The degree combines ecology and conservation management with animal and veterinary science, providing students with an interdisciplinary understanding of two fields.
