Students must complete 12 credit points of coursework core units and 36 credit points of research project units, totalling 48 credit points for the Honours degree.
To apply, you need to: (1) prepare a research topic proposal in an area of interest; (2) find a supervisor with experience in your topic area and provide evidence of their support; and (3) submit your application form with any required supporting documents. Standard closing dates are 15 January for Semester 1 and 25 June for Semester 2 of the commencing year.
Students are encouraged to commence the application process in their final year of the Bachelor of Wildlife Conservation (Taronga) degree. For stand-alone programs, the research topic proposal should be submitted before the end of your final semester.
Students will be required to complete a research project and present their results in some combination of a written report or thesis, a presentation, and/or an oral examination.
Part-time study is permitted for eligible students, excluding student visa holders, if approved by the faculty.
