Week 1: Coffee & Workplace Basics
Introduction to coffee, the espresso machine, coffee roasting, workplace hygiene, and a safety & hygiene assessment.
Week 2: Espresso Technique
Utensils and menus, extracting the perfect espresso, using the grinder, dosing & tamping, taking food orders, and milk texturing.
Week 3: Advanced Barista Skills
Making the perfect espresso, cleaning & maintenance, visiting a coffee roasting factory, and food & recommendation vocabulary.
Week 4: Coffee Knowledge & Practice
Coffee buying & tasting, the espresso menu, a coffee shop assignment, describing food, and coffee art.
Week 5: Work Experience & Graduation
Finding jobs, application forms and CV writing, interview role plays, fair pay & tax, coffee skills review, and course graduation.
