B1 Preliminary (PET)
Designed for pre-intermediate students. Builds basic skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Roughly equivalent to IELTS 3.5–4.0.
B2 First (FCE)
For upper-intermediate learners seeking a robust exam qualification. Appropriate for academic or professional use with an IELTS equivalency of approximately 5.5–6.0.
C1 Advanced (CAE)
Advanced-level course for confident English users. Recognised for university admission and professional settings—comparable to IELTS 6.5–7.0.

Milner College offers preparation for B1 Preliminary (PET) for pre-intermediate students, B2 First (FCE) for upper-intermediate learners, and C1 Advanced (CAE) for advanced-level English users.
Classes typically run over 10–12 weeks depending on the exam level, with full-time classes held Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at Milner College in the Perth CBD.
The Cambridge exam fee is $460 (subject to change). A late fee of $150 applies up to 21 days after the entry closing date, and $200 from 22 to 35 days after the entry closing date.
You will learn exam strategies for each Cambridge paper (reading, writing, listening, speaking), grammar and vocabulary tailored to exam standards, essay and report writing techniques, speaking fluency and pronunciation practice, and listening comprehension and time-management skills.
There are four intakes in 2026: Intake 1 begins December 29, Intake 2 begins March 16, Intake 3 begins June 8, and Intake 4 begins September 14 or September 21 depending on the level. Exact dates vary by exam level (PET, FCE, or CAE).
