Common Questions
For domestic full-time students, the course fee is $2,500. However, the qualification is fully funded and fee-free for high school students in Years 10, 11 or 12 who enrol through the Queensland Government's VET in School (VETiS) program, making it $0 for eligible VETiS students.
The course is delivered at Intech's campuses in Brisbane (QLD) and Sydney (NSW). Study options include on-campus study with face-to-face classes and practical workshops Monday to Friday, VET in School (VETiS) for current high school students in QLD, and School-Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship (SAT) for students who wish to complete the qualification while still enrolled in school.
On induction/orientation day, students will receive an overview of each unit of competency, methods of assessment, student handbook, training plan and schedule, internship details and journal, job placement logbooks, textbooks and study materials, and an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) overview. Students attending full-time classes will also receive handouts/learning material relevant to each unit, safety boots, and an Intech t-shirt.
Upon completion of the Certificate II in Engineering Pathways, students can progress onto the next level of qualification within the college. Intech offers the MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, or other relevant qualifications. Credits may also include units of competency contained within relevant skill sets and statements of attainment.
Yes, Intech offers RPL for the Certificate II in Engineering Pathways. RPL is a process of having your knowledge, work experience and skills formally assessed to gain a nationally recognised qualification. Candidates must provide evidence such as a portfolio of evidence, prior qualifications, employment history, visual evidence (photos and videos), work samples, references and testimonials, and may be required to undertake practical or written/verbal testing. Intech will provide initial feedback on the RPL at no cost to determine your success rate and any gaps in your skills.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
