Common Questions
Day and Evening Classes cost $1,000 with a $350 non-refundable deposit upon enrolment (including administrative fee). Weekend Classes cost $1,100 with a $400 non-refundable deposit upon enrolment (including administrative fee).
The course duration depends on your chosen class type: Day Class requires 18 compulsory days (8:30am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday); Evening Class requires 36 compulsory nights (6:00pm–10:00pm, Monday to Friday); and Weekend Class requires 18 compulsory days (8:30am–4:30pm, Saturday and Sunday).
Successful completion of this qualification provides the necessary competencies to apply to Victoria Police Licensing and Regulation Division for a Private Security Individual Licence for the categories of Crowd Controller, Security Guard (Unarmed Guard), and Control Room Operator.
There are no pre-requisites for persons seeking enrolment into this qualification; however, all students must be 18 years of age or over, have an appropriate level of written and spoken English and numeracy skills (assessed via an LLN Assessment at the Pre-Training Review), and be physically fit and able to perform physical tasks on a daily basis and stand for extended periods of time.
The course is delivered at 591 Sydney Rd, Coburg VIC 3058, which is approximately 6 minutes from the previous location at 309-311 Spring Street, Reservoir VIC 3073. The course combines online delivery with face-to-face assessments.
