The program will be delivered over 68 weeks (holiday inclusive) with 20 contact hours per week, which includes theory education in the classroom and practical training in the fully equipped workshop facility. There is also an online support session of four hours per week, plus students are advised to do approximately 10 hours per week of unstructured learning.
The tuition fee for the Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology is $17,500, with an enrolment fee of $250 and a material fee of $2,375.
The course is delivered face-to-face. Classroom-based theory education takes place at Level 1, 287-313 Macaulay Road, North Melbourne, VIC 3051, and practical training is conducted at the automotive workshop located at Unit 5, 60 Stubbs St, Kensington VIC 3031.
After successfully completing the AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology, students may apply for the AUR40620 Certificate IV in Automotive Electrical Technology.
Yes. Learners may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer. If students have previously completed a unit with the same unit code or unit title, they may request a Credit Transfer. Students may apply for RPL if they can demonstrate that their work and life experiences match one or more of the units. Applications for both RPL and Credit Transfer must be made prior to or at the beginning of the commencement of the course, and there is a fee for each process.
