The course is delivered over 52 weeks, including 36 weeks of training and assessment and 16 weeks of holidays.
International students must have an IELTS academic score of 6.0 or equivalent (test must have been taken no more than 12 months ago). Alternatively, English language competence can be demonstrated through being educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country, successful completion of at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course or above in an Australian education institution, or successful completion of an Oxford English language placement test with an overall score of not less than Level B2 (Upper Intermediate).
Trinity Institute (Australia) provides training rooms, fully functioning automotive workshops with light vehicles, tools and manufacturer specifications required for all units, and personal protective and safety equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection and gloves as required for each unit. Students are required to provide their own laptop installed with Microsoft Office or similar, safety work boots, overalls, and other personal protective equipment and tools as listed on the resources list prior to enrolment.
Classes are conducted at Trinity Institute (Australia) campuses located at 35 Smith Street, Parramatta NSW 2150 and Level 5, 770 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Automotive workshops are located at 62 Tattersall Road, Kings Park NSW.
The AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology requires the successful completion of 21 core units and 11 elective units, for a total of 32 units of competency. Electives have been chosen by Trinity Institute (Australia) to ensure that students achieve a broad range of skills and knowledge.
