As Queensland's premier barber and hairdressing college, we ensure our students have the best training possible by providing genuine practical experience in professional salon settings. All work undertaken by our diligent students is fully supervised by our expert team of educators while using only the best internationally recognised products within our salons. Please be aware that in order to provide you with the best possible service, our students will take slightly longer than a fully qualified barber or hairdresser as our instructor provides guidance throughout the appointment.

Where are the campus locations for the barbering course?

The barbering program is offered at the AAHB Brisbane Campus, which operates Monday to Wednesday 9am–5pm and Thursday 9am–4pm. The Gold Coast Campus focuses on hairdressing and operates Tuesday and Wednesday 9am–5pm.

How much do barbering services cost at the student salon?

Men's cuts at the student salon are priced from $10, making it an affordable option for clients seeking professional barbering services performed by supervised students.

Do I need to book an appointment for student salon services?

Yes, services are by appointment only from 1st August 2025. You can contact the Brisbane Campus on Ph: 3221 9294 or the Gold Coast Campus on Ph: 5591 1644 to make a booking.

Will my service take longer than at a regular barbershop?

Yes, students will take slightly longer than a fully qualified barber or hairdresser, as the instructor provides guidance throughout the appointment to ensure quality training and service.
