The Certificate III in Barbering involves 18 months of study over your 3 year apprenticeship contract.
The off-the-job training option is day release — one day per week over 18 months.
For 2026, the indicative course fees are: Year 1A — $1,529.50 (non-concession) or $948.10 (concession); Year 1B — $960.10 (non-concession) or $538.30 (concession); Year 2 — $966.45 (non-concession) or $476.25 (concession). Total fees are inclusive of tuition, learning and tracking manuals, mannequins, and all consumable resources. Fortnightly payment options are available on request.
Yes. If you are working as a barber without a barbering qualification, you can get your barbering skills certified through Recognition of Prior Learning. The process takes approximately 1 month from the initial interview to practical assessment.
The training program is funded by the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD).
