The course uses multiple assessment methods including Written Questions or Reports (to demonstrate understanding of theoretical concepts, procedures, and industry standards), Practical Activity or Project (hands-on activities simulating real-world tasks), Case Study (analysis of industry-relevant scenarios applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills), Observation (direct observation during practical sessions to evaluate competence, technique, and adherence to safety protocols), and Work Placement (supervised placement where performance and skill application are monitored and assessed according to workplace standards).
Students must demonstrate an English level of IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5, or an equivalent qualification such as IBT 60, PTE 50, CAE 169, OET B, General English Advanced or equivalent, MOI Certificate, Duolingo 95, MET, LANGUAGECERT Academic, CELPIP General, or a Certificate IV or higher qualification with an Australian institution.
On completion, you will receive the CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying. Learners who partially complete the qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units they are deemed competent.
Graduates can pursue a career as a Bricklayer, Blocklayer, or Paver. For further study, successful completion of this course means you can progress by enrolling in the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) followed by the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building).
Yes. Lead College recognises qualifications issued by other RTOs and will accept and mutually recognise qualifications and Statements of Attainment awarded by any other registered training organisation. Credit Transfer is available for units you have already completed where equivalence can be established. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also available, where skills and knowledge gained through work and life experience and other unrecognised training can be formally recognised. During the entry process and interview stage, Lead College will discuss the process and options for RPL.
