Common Questions
Yes, this course is eligible for Free TAFE. Eligible Victorian students who elect to use their Free TAFE opportunity will not incur any tuition fees, however material and resources fees still apply. A materials fee of AUD $250.00 and an Education Levy of AUD $84.75 are charged at enrolment.
Classes are held full-time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 4.30pm at the East Geelong Campus. Note that class times are indicative and may change before the course starts, and students may need to complete some self-paced learning and assessments outside class time.
After completing this course, students can progress to the CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying. The Gordon advises that many courses offer pathways to higher qualifications within The Gordon and in some cases to university degrees, and your Gordon course may provide credit points which could reduce further study time.
Assessment in this course is based on questioning, observations, and practical demonstrations, reflecting the hands-on nature of bricklaying and masonry training.
Yes. If you have previously completed any of the units of competency relevant to this course, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer (CT). Any previous relevant experience may also qualify you for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The Gordon encourages prospective students to find out more about CT or RPL before applying.
