Certificate III in Business

The Certificate III in Business (BSB30120) reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles, typically those establishing their own work performance. Delivered face-to-face in the classroom at The Wales Institute's Surry Hills campus, the course runs over 49 weeks, comprising 40 weeks of training and assessment across four 10-week terms plus 9 weeks of holidays. Students attend 20 hours of classroom training per week, totalling 800 structured learning hours. The course covers core business competencies including workplace communication, critical thinking, workplace safety, sustainable work practices and inclusive work practices, alongside elective skills such as producing business documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and delivering customer service. TWI operates rolling enrolments, so students may commence at the start of any unit with no prerequisites required. Graduates gain a foundational qualification that can support entry into a range of business support roles, with the option to progress to further business or leadership qualifications. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and credit transfer are available and may reduce course duration and fees.
