The course runs for 92 weeks (including 28 weeks of break/holidays). Training is delivered over 52 scheduled class weeks, 12 weeks for practical/vocational placement or equivalent work experience, and 28 weeks of break/extra tutorials/reassessment periods as per the requirement of individual students.
Intake dates for this course are 01 Jun 2026, 20 Jul 2026, 31 Aug 2026, 12 Oct 2026, and 23 Nov 2026. A Fast Track option is also available — contact Orange International College for more information.
The course is delivered via a blended learning model consisting of 70% face-to-face and 30% guided online learning. Students study full time at 20 hours per week, and may require an additional 5 hours of self-directed learning per week (indicative only).
On successful completion, learners are awarded the MSF30322 Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology with dual specialisation in Furniture and Kitchens and Bathrooms. Suggested further study pathways include the Certificate IV MSF40318 – Certificate IV in Kitchen and Bathroom Design, Diploma MSF50222 – Diploma of Furniture Design and Manufacturing, and Advanced Diploma MSF60122 – Advanced Diploma of Interior Design.
Applicants must have satisfactory completion of studies equivalent to an Australian Year 11/12 qualification from their home country, and an IELTS band score of overall 6 (Academic or General) or equivalent in line with Department of Education and DOHA regulations. Online IELTS is not accepted. Students are also required to be competent in written and spoken English and will undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test prior to commencing training.
