The tuition fees for this course are $27,200.00, which includes Material and Application Fees ($250 Application Fee and $1,950 Material Fees).
The Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology has a duration of 94 weeks.
The course is delivered through classroom based training sessions to develop knowledge and theoretical understandings, as well as practical sessions in the workshop. Assessment includes the gathering of evidence to demonstrate the student's competence, using written assessment and direct observation of practical demonstration.
At the successful completion of the course, students will be awarded with a 'Testamur' and a 'Record of Results' which provides detailed Units of Competency completed in the course. At partial completion, students will be awarded with a 'Statement of Attainment' which will detail only the Units of Competency that the student has achieved competency from the course.
After achieving the MSF30322 Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology, candidates may choose to undertake MSF40222 Certificate IV in Furniture Design and Manufacturing or other relevant qualifications at other RTOs. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include Cabinet Maker (Furniture), Furniture Finisher, Furniture Finisher (French Polishing), Furniture Maker, Joiner, and Assistant installer (built-in cabinets for kitchens/bathrooms).
